Investigation on Multi-Photon Dissociation Effects in SF6 on TEA CO2 Lasers Pulse Shap

 In this work, the effects of multi-photon dissociation in SF6 on TEA CO2 lasers pulse shape were investigated. The pressure of SF6 gas was changed in 0-120 mbar range and the related laser pulse shapes were recorded. By increasing the gas pressure up to 70-85 mbar, a sudden drop in the spike to tail amplitude ratio was observed tending to a 4-5 μs long pulse with completely removed spike at the pressures higher than 85 mbar.
