Consideration the effect of metallic nanoparticles shapes in light trapping by plasmonic solar cells

In this paper we have done a rigorous study on the thin film solar cells to enhance the absorption of the cells. Plasmonic solar cells have higher absorption despite use of less material. The action mechanism in plasmonic solar cells is based on the resonance of the localized surface plasmons by metallic nanoparticles. The purpose of this article is consideration the effect of metallic nanoparticles shapes on the absorption of the cells. We realize that the nanorods exhibit higher absorption efficiency in respect to the other nanoparticles.
