Simulation of plasma active medium of Ne-like Ge soft x-ray laser by two pump pulses

To provide the soft x-ray lasers with high gain coefficient using the high power optical lasers, setting of the pump laser parameters is very important. Hence, in this paper, the hydrodynamic parameters and average ion charge state are obtained  by use of MED103 hydrodynamic code and setting the driver laser characteristics, including multi-pulse, pulse width, wavelength, intensity and time delay. Then the time-independent rate equations have been solved for calculation of gain coefficient.  Therefore, it can be achieved to high gain soft x-ray laser active medium of the order 10-100 cm-1 by simulation of plasma active mediumm and setting of the pump laser parameters.
