Nonlinear optical properties of fluorescein dye in the polymer matrix PVA

Abstract- Dye lasers are tunable lasers and are under consideration. These materials have nonlinear optical properties such as nonlinear refractive index saturation absorption. In this work we used z-scan technique and UV.Vis spectroscopy to measure. The nonlinear refractive index and nonlinear absorption of dye fluorescein doped in PVA polymer. Measurement shown the nonlinear refractive index 0/00000006   and absorption wavelength 276 and 494 nm.
