Abstract: (16716 Views)
With rapid development in technology of high power lasers manufacturing, the production of relativistic energetic electrons is provided by of laser-plasma interaction. In bombardment of solid targets with quasi-monoenergetic electrons produced by laser pulse energy of 500 mJ and pulse width of 30 fs, x-ray is generated. In this paper, the resulting x-ray flux is simulated by MCNP4C code based on the Monte-Carlo method. Also, the optimum parameters of different targets are evaluated. Then, to assess the most appropriate target geometry, three sphere-, slab-, and cone- lead targets in different dimensions are employed to compare the produced x-ray fluxes at the energy of characteristic x-ray, Kα.
