In this paper a new method is proposed for measurement the nonlinear refractive index and Absorption Coefficient of a DCJ Dye in water by using Moiré deflectometry technique. Two laser beams are used: a comparatively high intensity laser beam as interacting beam and a low intensity as a probe beam. The value of nonlinear refractive index and absorption coefficient is (-1.5±0.1) ×10-4 and 1.1±0.1 respectively. This method is fast, easy and non-scanning.
