In this paper we have investigated some electronic and optical properties of GY5 graphyne structure. Investigations have been done by first principle calculation based on density functional theory.Electronic band structure shows zero band gap and Dirac coneat Fermi energy. Investigation of optical absorption for energies less than 12 eV represents four peaks for parallel polarization and there were not any absorption for higher energies. There was only one peak for perpendicular polarization. Electric field doesn’t have any impact on the band structure and optical absorption.
