In this study, we prepared tungsten oxide nanostructures in a simple and low-cost hydrothermal method and considered a change in the characterization of the samples by adding polyethylene glycol surfactant. We performed X-ray diffraction pattern characterization, UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy imaging, and with respect to the observed changes, the sample prepared with surfactant could be used in photocatalytic applications.
