Optical trapping of polystyrene particles, by plasmonic gold patterns. ICOP & ICPET _ INPC _ ICOFS 2017; 23 :453-456

Abstract:   (2455 Views)

Particles were successfully trapped by the use of LSP of a gold structure which was created through colloidal lithography.  A 1. 3µm micro-sphere polystyrene was used as the mask of lithography to obtain a 300nm triangle and 900nm diamond array.  The final product allows 1. 3µm polystyrene particles to be trapped successfully. With the capacity to trap numerous particles simultaneously and in parallel, with its ease of use, this new method is superior to the conventional method in that it yields the same results without the need for laser beam focus at a relatively lower cost.
