In this paper,the effect of external electric field on full width half maximum (FWHM) of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) was investigated. The quantum system includes &Lambda-type three level GaAs cylindrical quantum dot (QD) with parabolic potential. susceptibility of GaAs cylindrical QD was obtained by finding eigenfunctions and eigenvalues.
