The comparison of the omnidirectional photonic band gap in one-dimensional ternary photonic crystals based on Thue-Morse structure with those of a periodic structures results show that the photonic band gap in this structure has a wider range of wavelength than that of periodic structure. Thus, it is possible to use the one-dimensional ternary photonic crystals based on Thue-Morse structure in designing of the omnidirectional reflector photonic structure. Studies show that the structural parameters have a great effect at complete photonic band gap width، hence we investigate the omnidirectional photonic band gap width in one-dimensional ternary photonic crystals based on Thue-Morse structure with changing the thicknesses of a layer that has a high refractive index we can utilize this property to tune the rang of wavelength in omnidirectional reflectors.
