A reference light pumped Brillouin laser instead of reference light is used as local oscillator in coherent detection technique to decrease the beat signal frequency. As a result, the frequency of beat signal is decreased from 11GHz to 1GHz. Then, temperature effect on Brillouin frequency shift is measured and the sensitivity of 1.05 was obtained. M3 ER -
