This quantity provides valuable information on the structure and dynamics of the molecule and the effect of its surrounding environment. In this work, fluorescence anisotropy of methylene blue has been measured. Methylene blue is considered as a drug, as a photosensitizer and as a dye for staining cells and tissues. Two latter applications involve the interaction with light, so optical properties of the methylene blue including its emission anisotropy find theoretical and experimental significance. An optical setup was designed and implemented. The anisotropy of methylene blue in two different solvents with different viscosities was measured. The excitation wavelength dependency was investigated, too. LA eng UL http://opsi.ir/article-1-1638-en.html M3 ER -
