Titanium oxide layer was formed using of titanium metal anodising. Different effective factors on titanium oxide layer formation, and so the sample colors, such as anodizing voltage, distance between the anode and cathode, the oxidation duration and bath acid anodizing PH have been studied. It was observed that the sample color changed with the applied voltage of anodizing. This is related to layer thickness variation by anodizing voltage. The samples were charachterized using colorimetry, reflectance spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The X-ray diffraction spectrum confirmed that the titanium oxide layers were amorphus. The thickness of titanium oxide layer, estimated using the reflactance spectrum, showed that the thickness of titanium oxide increased from 75 nm to 170 nm by increasing of anodizing voltage from 20 V to 75 V.
