In this article, optical and electronic properties of the grown ZnO thin film are gained in various directions by means of the first principles calculations, using WIEN2K package. Here it is proved that electronic and optical properties of ZnO are extensively depended on its growth direction. When direction of growth is altered, the arrangement of surface atoms is consequently changed, leading to electronic and optical changes.
