In this work TeO2 thin films were prepared on glass substrates by thermal evaporating of Te powder in muffle furnace at three evaporation temperature. The distance between substrate and Te powder was 2 mm. The crystal structure and morphology of thin films were investigated with XRD and AFM methods, respectively. The layers have a tetragonal structure and a uniform surface. Also, optical properties including absorption and bandgap were measured. An increase in the absorption and band gap value was observed with increasing evaporation temperature.
