Abstract:   (2625 Views)

In this paper, we investigate the effect of period numbers of unit cells surronding a defect layer on absorption spectra in a graphene-based one-dimensional photonic crystal. Assuming the period numbers of unit cells before and after the defect layer m and n, respectively, it is shown that the absorption tends to be improved by increasing n for each m, at the position of defect mode. Moreover, achieving enhanced absorption in the structure requires the use of low m besides higher n.
