Reconstruction of a quantized field state in a lossy cavity via measuring the quasiprobability distribution functions

In this paper, we study the probability of reconstruction of quantum field state in a lossy cavity via measuring the quasiprobability distribution functions. In order to achieve this purpose, we consider the interaction between a two-level atom with a single mode quantized field in a lossy cavity. Using the superoperator approach, the explicit form of density operator of atom-field system is obtained. Then, we propose a method by which the quasiprobability distribution function of field as well as its statistics are obtained via measuring the atomic polarization.
